How to make turmeric shots?

We’ve done the hard work and saved you the washing up - but if you want to make the turmeric shots yourself, here's our recipe!

Ingredients (7 shots for your week's supply):

  • 60g of fresh turmeric root
  • 180g of fresh ginger root
  • 3 - 4 lemons
  • 50g pure or Manuka honey
  • 3g cinnamon
  • 0.6g of black pepper (or 12mg piperine)
  • 140g filtered water

Method:

Cold press peeled turmeric, ginger and lemon (we recommend Optimum 600 Cold Press Juicer), mix with honey, cinnamon, piperine and water.

There is no need to pasteurize the shots as long as you want to consume them within 2-3 days. If you want to enjoy them for longer, place them in airtight glass containers and warm them up (don't boil them to preserve all the good stuff) to a temperature of ca 80 degrees Celsius. Now they can last a few months!

What are turmeric shots good for?

Rumor has it, turmeric can help with muscle pain, lower your risk or heart disease, and has been proven to help fight depression. Don't forget to add black pepper to it to ease its absorbtion!
